Quran 1:1

Quran 1:1

The verse Qur'an 1:1 is the opening line of the first chapter of the Qur'an, known as Al-Fatihah (The Opening). The verse in Arabic reads:

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm

In English, it is commonly translated as:

"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful."

This phrase, often called the Basmalah, is recited at the beginning of most chapters in the Qur'an and reflects the compassion and mercy central to the teachings of Islam.
